The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has filed a lawsuit against Uber alleging that the rideshare giant enrolled users into its “Uber One” subscription without their consent. The suit claims that customers were charged deceptively, with cancellations rendered as complex as a maze.
The agency accuses the ridesharing company of charging customers without consent and making it hard to cancel the service.
It's the latest legal move against Big Tech by the Trump administration.
