US expands blacklist on Chinese tech firms

US authorities have tightened export controls by adding numerous Chinese technology and AI companies to their trade blacklists in a coordinated move to curb technology transfers and safeguard national interests.
Among the blacklisted entities are six subsidiaries of Inspur Group, a major Chinese cloud computing provider.
SpaceX allows Chinese investors to buy stakes through offshore hubs like the Cayman Islands. This comes despite its crucial role as a Pentagon defense contractor managing sensitive projects such as building a classified spy satellite network.
